Stability
EAFecs enables a much more stable process. This gives the customer the chance to control arc lengths more accurately, which leads to benefits like energy saving, faster production and lesser electrode consumption.
More Production
By being able to have more active power from the arcs, without the risk of increased reactive power, the customer can increase production if melting is the bottleneck.
Less Electrical Energy
EAFecs saves energy. Optimal arc lengths lead to more energy being used for melting steel instead of being lost into the surroundings. Depending on the furnace, the energy savings can be up to 5%.
Installation
The EAFecs equipment is small in size and easy to install. No production breaks are needed, as the installation can be done during maintenance breaks.
Timetable
The project timetable is as flexible as the customer requires. A typical project consists of three phases: equipment installation, a measuring phase and a test period.
Sales Process
The customer costs are very modest: an initial project cost and a monthly service fee based on customer savings.
